Single Ply Membrane Roofing

Single Ply Membrane Roofing is a durable and versatile roofing solution widely used in commercial and industrial applications. It is a single layer of synthetic material that is lightweight yet strong, providing excellent weather protection and energy efficiency. These membranes are typically made of materials like thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM).

Single Ply Membrane Roofing offers numerous advantages. It is easy to install, reducing labor costs and installation time. The flexibility of the membrane allows it to adapt to various roof shapes and contours, ensuring a seamless and watertight finish. Additionally, these roofs are highly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions, offering long-lasting performance and low maintenance requirements.

This roofing system is known for its energy efficiency, as it helps to reduce heat transfer, thereby lowering cooling costs during hot summers and improving insulation in colder months. Single Ply Membrane Roofing is also environmentally friendly, with many materials being recyclable and contributing to LEED certification points.

We install Elevate (Firestone), Versico, Johns-Manville, and Duro-Last.

Roofing Systems

ETHYLENE PROPYLENE DIENE MONOMER (EPDM)

This is commonly referred to as "rubber" roofing. Single-ply roofing is made of high-performance synthetic rubber compound that provides outstanding weather characteristics in climates worldwide. EPDM varies in thickness from 45 mil to 90 mil, available reinforced or non-reinforced, and is typically black in color.

EPDM is one of the most popular materials for both new and reroof low-slope roofing applications based on its durability, design versatility, and installation ease.

THERMOPLASTIC POLYOLEFIN (TPO)

TPO single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest growing commercial roofing systems. Mainly this is due to the increased use in the southern climates where reflective, energy-efficient and cool roof products area becoming the standard. TPO roofing membranes provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone, and chemical exposure. Thermoplastic membranes are flexible, reinforced, and heat-weldable membranes. TPO membranes are available in a variety of colors.

POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC)

PVC roofing comes is a variety of thicknesses. The most common are 40 mil (.040"), 50 mil (.050”), 60 mil (.060") and 80 mil (.080").
